How to Self-Register
- Individuals purchasing an NCSI Background Check for the FIRST TIME must create a user account on USA Cycling’s website before initiating the certification process. If you already have a USA Cycling account, then please move on to the instructions below.
- Individuals renewing their background check must sign in to their USA Cycling account before initiating their certification process.
To Begin Your Background Check
- Log into your USA Cycling account
- Click the first grey tab within your My Account header navigation labeled MEMBERSHIP.
- Within the MEMBER STATUS box, click RENEW under the Background Check section. If your certification is still valid, then you will not need to renew your certification.
- When registering for the NCSI Background Check, make sure that your name matches what is listed within your USA Cycling account.
Once on the NCSI site, follow the instructions and provide payment. Most background checks are completed in 3-5 business days, however, it can take up to 10 business days before clearing when all information is correctly provided. Any incorrect/incomplete information will delay the determination time. If you have any questions or problems submitting your information please call (866) 833-7100 x109.
