- Have a Vision – Building a brand around yourself is an integral part of telling your story before someone else tells it for you. YOU define what you want to be known for and how you want others to perceive you.
- Create Your Portfolio – Think of your social media accounts like a website. When someone looks up your account, make sure they are seeing the necessary information you want them to see.
- Post with a Purpose – Make sure your content is doing one of four things: Inspire, Inform, Tell Your Story, Promote Supporters (Sponsors)
- Embrace Your Story – Share your story and all the work that goes on behind the scenes to show why you and your club are excellent
- Provide Value – Show why your club is valuable and engage with your audience
- Find Your Voice – A consistent voice is key to building your audience
- Have a Strategy – Take 30 minutes every month to create a content plan. Take it seriously – keep track in a calendar or spreadsheet. You want to avoid feeling obligated to randomly post without a plan
