If you're looking to compete in an international event or looking to participate in a UCI event here in the United States, here are some items that you should know.
- If this is your first time purchasing this license you will need to verify your citizenship for which sporting nationality will be listed on your license. To do so please send in a copy of your birth certificate or passport in the form of a ticket here.
- This license supersedes the domestic license, so in your account you will notice that your domestic license is now expired, that is by design as your UCI/International license can be used for all racing here in the United States.
- No matter when you upgrade to the UCI/International license, this license will expire on 12/31 of the current calendar year.
If you're looking to race outside of the country then you will need a UCI/international license no matter your age or category. If however you're looking to compete at a UCI event here in the United States there are only three categories that require you to hold a UCI license, Junior 17-18, Under 23, and Elite. If you're athlete is 15-16, they do not need UCI/International licenses to compete at UCI events here in the United States.
