All active members with USA Cycling 365 additional insurance coverage
Overview of Coverage
365 additional insurance coverage provides $0 deductible on-the-bike injury coverage to USA Cycling members participating exclusively in bicycle-related activities, which include:
- Commuting
- Group rides
- Training sessions
- Gran fondos
- Gravel events
Members that also hold a race license add-on enjoy broader coverage during specific events. They are coved while participating in:
- USA Cycling sanctioned events and/or UCI sanctioned events
If you hold a base membership and 365 insurance, you have coverage riding and training worldwide.
If you hold a base membership, a domestic race license, and 365 insurance, you are covered riding and training worldwide and while racing in USA Cycling sanctioned events.
If you hold a base membership, a UCI/International race license, and 365 insurance, you are coved riding and training worldwide and while racing in USA Cycling and UCI sanctioned events.
It is important to note that the coverage does not extend to any racing events that are not sanctioned by USA Cycling or the UCI.
Members are also covered for bicycle related activities such as commuting, group rides, training sessions, gran fondos, and gravel events.

Policy Details
A covered accident is a sudden and unexpected event, unrelated to any illness, disease, or mental or physical condition, that causes a covered injury loss. This must occur while you are insured under the policy and actively participating in covered activities.
This coverage is secondary to your primary insurance. Any medical claims must first be submitted to your health insurance, and then submitted to BMI Benefits under the USAC secondary coverage. If you do not have primary health insurance, this is not an insurance card, please submit the USAC Secondary insurance information for BMI Benefits to the medical provider for billing. To be reimbursed, do NOT pay any medical bills upfront. If a medical bill is paid by you and reimbursement is requirement, you will need to submit an itemized bill, primary insurance EOB, and proof of payment for processing of any reimbursement from BMI Benefits.
Initial Covered Expense
Expenses must be incurred within 30-days of the accident, with emergency room treatment required within 72 hours.
Time frame for accident-related medical treatment expenses
Benefits are provided for up to 52 weeks from the date of the accident.
Accident Medical Coverage
Benefits are available for up to 52 weeks from the date of the incident.

Policy Benefit- $50,000, 100% of allowable expense
Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
This coverage applies to death and significant dismemberment resulting from an accident during a covered activity.
Policy Benefit- $10,000
Cardiovascular or Circulatory Dysfunction
Coverage applies to death resulting from heart failure while participating in a covered activity. There is no coverage for pre-existing heart conditions. The event must occur within 72 hours after participation.
Policy Benefit- $5,000
Outpatient Physical Therapy and Spinal Manipulation Expenses
Maximum benefit for 100% of the allowable expense
Long lasting medical devices
Maximum benefit for 100% of the allowable expense
Orthopedic Appliances
Maximum benefit for 100% of the allowable expense
Policy Benefits
Deductible $0
Dental expenses cover injuries to sound, natural teeth, with a maximum benefit of 100% allowable expense.
Prescription drug expenses covers a maximum benefit of 100% of allowable expense.
Ambulance benefit, whether air or ground provides a maximum benefit of 100% of the allowable expense.
*E-bikes under 750 watts are permitted.
